How Planning Works

Four thoughtful steps from first conversation to departure day — no rush, no templates, just a journey shaped entirely around you.

Step 01

Share Your Travel Rhythm

Tell us how you like to move through the world — your ideal pace, must-see moments, and the experiences that matter most. There's no questionnaire; just a genuine conversation.

Step 02

Receive a Tailored Concept

Within days, we craft a bespoke itinerary concept — routes, stays, and hidden gems selected for your style. Every detail is chosen with intention, never pulled from a catalogue.

Step 03

Refine Details Together

We collaborate until every element feels right — swap a fjord cruise for a mountain lodge, add an extra rest day, adjust the tempo. Your trip, your call, always.

Step 04

Traveler Stories

Trusted journeys, crafted with care

Every itinerary begins with listening. Here's what our travelers say about the pace, the places, and the feeling of arriving somewhere truly extraordinary.

"We never felt rushed — not once. Each morning we woke to a new view, a new sense of wonder. NorthPeak understood that the pauses between the peaks matter just as much as the peaks themselves."

Elísabet & Jón Árnason

10-day Iceland Ring Road · Summer 2025

"From the first call, everything felt seamless. The fjord-side lodges, the private boat to Geirangerfjord — every detail was handled so thoughtfully that all we had to do was look up and take it in."

Caroline Renaud

8-day Norwegian Fjords · Autumn 2025

"The Alps itinerary felt like a story written just for us — long morning walks through alpine meadows, unhurried lunches with mountain views. It was the most present I've felt on a trip in years."

David & Mei-Lin Hartmann

Before You Go

Practical Information

Everything you need to know to travel with confidence — curated from years of guiding journeys through the North and the Alps.

Best Seasons

Iceland

June through September for midnight sun and highland access. October–March for northern lights and dramatic winter solitude.

Norway

Mid-May to mid-September for fjord cruises and long daylight. Late September brings autumn colour at its most cinematic.

The Alps

June through early October for hiking and alpine passes. January–March offers pristine snowscapes and quieter villages.

Packing Tips

The golden rule for northern and alpine travel: layer thoughtfully. A merino base layer, a fleece or down mid-layer, and a waterproof shell will see you through most conditions.

  • Waterproof, breathable jacket and trousers — weather shifts quickly at altitude and along coastlines.
  • Sturdy, broken-in walking shoes with ankle support for trails and cobblestones alike.
  • Pack a warm hat, gloves, and scarf for shoulder-season evenings — temperatures can drop 10°C after sunset.
  • Sunglasses and SPF even in cooler months — snow and water amplify UV exposure.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend securing comprehensive travel insurance before departure. Our destinations are shaped by nature's rhythms, and conditions can shift with little notice.

A good policy should cover:

  • Trip interruption or cancellation due to severe weather.
  • Lost, delayed, or damaged baggage.
  • Emergency medical treatment and evacuation.

This is general guidance — please review policy details with your insurance provider to ensure your coverage fits your itinerary.
